This year’s Mobile World Congress was the largest to date, with 93,000 attendees from 200 countries, 2100 exhibitors, 3800 members of press. We have to say when we arrived we were blown away by the sheer size of the Europe’s biggest tech event.

Check out our round up video below:

We prepared for the Mobile World Congress for weeks beforehand, tweeting, emailing and harvesting as much information about the event, its exhibitors and attendees as possible. We booked flights, accommodation, extra luggage, and prepared a full campaign to unveil our first iOS mobile app. The concept we decided upon was ‘Life’s a Beach’; we think the phrase is pretty self explanatory and sums up SalesSeek’s values and product experience, we also really like beaches.

During final the week we created a checklist of essentials and realised how much we were taking with us!

Peli Case

Two Peli Cases in the office to take the screens and other valuables to Barcelona.

2 x Keyboards
1 x 3m Popup Banner
2 x 1m LED Light Bars
2 x Power Extensions
1 x Box of Flyers
3 x Boxes of Business Cards
3 x Carry on Suitcases plus backpacks

SalesSeek Team

The Team outside the main entrance.

The team made up of Peter, Anna, Jere and Josh, arrived in Barcelona with everything on that list luckily still in tact. We moved into our Air BnB apartment, just a stone throw away from the beautiful Sagrada Familia and with everything as prepared as it could be we slept with excitement and anticipation for the week ahead.

Each day was an early start as we rode Barcelona’s crowded metros through the city to the Fira Barcelona. The size of the event is almost indescribable, both in terms of its physical size and the metaphorical size of some of the exhibiting businesses and speakers who attend.

Barcelona is well known for its amazing restaurants, so naturally we had a few meals out after the event to enjoy the city and experience some of the highlights and culinary delights.

This was SalesSeek’s first large conference and we throughly enjoyed the whole event. Thank you to the GSMA for producing such a slick and well organized event, thanks to the UKTI for their support, and thanks to everyone who stopped by and visited us.

Here are a few photos from the trip:
